Hi, I’m Barry – but my friends call me Baz – it’s a nickname I picked up over 40 years ago when, as a much younger man, I lived in England. I’m not a monk, but like yours, my inner monk is alive and well.
About three years ago, a dear friend from high school referred to my ‘inner monkness’ as Buddha Baz, hence the page title.
I created this site to help other like-minded people (like you) discover the critical roles meditation and mindfulness can play in improving their satisfaction at work. It’s part of my larger life mission:
…To create a world-wide movement of awakened individuals, freed from suffering and empowered to impact the world.”

I’m a writer and father of four amazing adult children, GrandDad to seven uber-cute grandkids, as well as an introverted empath. I’ve been meditating for over a dozen years but got pretty serious about it in 2012 when I wrote my book, The Practical Buddhist.
I’m also the author of:

When I’m not traveling or sipping an Americano with Karen, I live in Irvine, California with my 22-year-old son and my ever-faithful companion, Sir Buddy – Lord Protector of the Realm.
